Hmmmm... While the drugs do seem to affect the biological CPU's in SEED, I think they were made to be addicted to it for their training and ability.
Whereas, the enslaved coordinators were genetically engineered to lack particular enzymes that the drug gives them. So without it, their bodies would start to go haywire and they would eventually die.
